    "Taking from Society, Feeding back to Society" --- SYSCO's love to Hometown

        Basing on "Ethical Business Conduct", one of SYSCO's five management philosophies", SYSCO has been participating in the public welfare actively for years. We believe feeding back to the society is the responsibility of an enterprise because the prosperity of the society is the main meaning why SYSCO exists and it is also the best power for our further growth.


      2017, SYSCO donates safety maintenance supplies to two primary schools in Kaohsiung.

        With the mind to feedback local society, and respect to the safety guiders who maintain the security of school children. SYSCO donates safety maintenance supplies including vest for the guider, safety flexible flag and reflective raincoat etc. to two primary schools in Hsiao Kang area (Erling Elementary School, Hsiao Kang Elementary School), and expect these materials can play the ultimate effect in protecting the safety of school children and the guiders.
        On March 9, 2017, the representatives of the two schools and Mr. Shen Kun Yut who is the educational inspector of the Education Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government came to SYSCO to express their gratitude. President Mr. T.Y. Cheng accepted the commendation which presented by the schools. The representative expressed their appreciation and stressed that these supplies provided great help in school safety maintenance. Mr. Shen also mentioned that SYSCO not only provided safety supplies for schools, but also contributed in arts and cultural activities of the Hsiao Kang area. It shows that SYSCO spare no effort in public welfare activities.


      2011, Donation to Japan's Earthquake/Tsunami Disaster on 03/11/2011.

        On 03/11/2011, an earthquake of 9 magnitude, triggering a huge tsunami, seriously damaged Japan's eastnorthern region. The relations between the governments and the people of Taiwan and Japan have been intimate and when 09/21 quake and 08/08 flood happened in Taiwan, both the government and the people of Japan gave timely support and warmth to Taiwan by providing rescuers and relief stuff to asssist the victims. At this moment, Japan has suffered the biggest quake since 1872. The disaster swept everything in its path. To give support and assistance to the victims, Yodogawa Steel Works., Ltd., parent company of Sheng Yu Steel Co., Ltd. has donated Japan Yen 20 million via Japan's Central Fund Collection Association and provided its products Yodo House equivalent to Japan Yen 14 million. While in Taiwan, Sheng Yu Steel donated NT$2 million via MOFA's Account Designated for Overseas Donations.
      The Group took actions to provide humanitarian relief in anticipation that the assistance may bring help and consolence to the victims who bravely faced the devastating disaster. The Group also wished that they could contribute to the recovery and reconstruction of the destructed region.


      Starting 2010 Sheng Yu Steel Expands the Adoption Area of Chung Shan 4th Road.

        Ever since 1998 as a pioneer, Sheng Yu Steel has adopted two sides of Chung Shan 4th Road for beautification.Moreover, starting 2010, Sheng Yu Steel volunteered to expand the adopted area including the safety island of the west side of Chung Shan 4th Road and the triangle park at Ping Ho Road.Such actions express Sheng Yu's willpower and determination of making up Kaohsiung an international beautiful garden city.

      2009, SYSCO Donates NT$3.5 Million to Aid Survivors of Typhoon Morakot

        Typhoon Morakot engulfed southern Taiwan and its torrential downpours flooded not only southern Taiwan but also eastern Taiwan with horrifying mudslides. More and more victims and damages are found day by day.
        In view that many typhoon survivors are in urgent need of assistance in the aftermath of the disaster, SYSCO took a quick decision in her board meeting held on August 18, 2009 to donate NT$3.5 million for this purpose.
        To SYSCO, it has been a firm belief that we should give social concern pertinently in the position of corporate citizenship. Again, this time as usual, SYSCO gives a hand in the hope that we could help to relieve the torture ensued from Typhoon Morakot.



      2008, SYSCO donates computer equipment to three primary schools in Kaohsiung. (3'rd year)

        After continuing the care of donating computer equipment to 6 primary schools of Hsiao Kang district of Kaohsiung in 2006 and 2007. SYSCO continue donated the computer equipment at the value of NT$ 1 million to other three primary schools (Hua-Shan, Qing-Shan and Gang-He) once again in 2008.
        The Kaohsiung City Government hold the citing ceremony in Hua-Shan primary school on December 11 , 2008. Mr. Cheng, President of SYSCO, accepted the commendation from Vice-Mayor Lin. Vice-Mayor Lin appreciated SYSCO's benefaction of feeding back the society. This benefaction has lasted for three years which is the model of enterprises, and deserve the encouragement of all citizens.

      2008, SYSCO makes donation for the earthquake in Sichuan.

        SYSCO donated NT$ 3 million for the earthquake in Sichuan, and expect to be helpful for the reconstruction after the calamity.
        SYSCO also appreciate the Tzu Chi Foundation as a pioneer of reliever for years, and always provide suitable assistant for disaster area in time. We hope this donation will be converted to endless love through the most effective management of Tzu Chi Foundation, and provide timely help to the most required refugee.

      2007, SYSCO donates computer equipment to three primary schools in Kaohsiung.

        Continue caring for the computer education of primary schools, SYSCO donated the computer equipment to the primary schools in Kaohsiung for two years. After the donation to three primary schools in Hsiao-Kang area in 2006, SYSCO donated the computer equipment again at the value of over NT$ 1 million to the other three primary schools (Tai-Ping, Er-Ling and Hsiao-Kang) in 2007.
         Mr. Omori, Chairman of SYSCO, accepted the commendation from Mayor Chen in the Kaohsiung City Hall on February 22, 2008. Mayor Chen complimented SYSCO on lasting the Japanese enterprise fine tradition of community responsibility, and blessed SYSCO with good fortune for the goodness. She also encouraged other companies to follow SYSCO to feedback the society, and to care about education together.

      2007, SYSCO sponsors signboards for "World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung ".

        The unveil press conference of 16 pieces of large-scale canvas signboards which sponsored exclusively by SYSCO was held at the beautiful riverside of Love River at October 11 afternoon. Mr. Omori, Chairman of SYSCO, expected this patronage will bring more local companies to join the promotion activities of "World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung", and then promote tourism business, drive consumption economic indirectly, and show the enthusiasm of Kaohsiung people in participating the World Games to the whole world.
        Mayor Chen presented the commendation to SYSCO on behalf of Kaohsiung citizen. She thanks to SYSCO for changing new clothes of the signboards of Kaohsiung World Games, and highly appreciated SYSCO's efforts and devotion to Kaohsiung public affairs.

      2006, SYSCO donates computer equipment to three primary schools in Kaohsiung.

        Caring for the computer education of primary schools, SYSCO donated the computer equipment to the primary schools in Kaohsiung. The computer equipment at the value of NT$ 1 million were donated by SYSCO to three primary schools, Ping-Ding, Feng-Ming and Feng-Lin, selected by Education Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government. Mr. Omori, Chairman of SYSCO, accepted the commendation from Mayor Yeh in the Kaohsiung City Hall on September 14, 2006.


      2005, SYSCO donates a Command Car to The Fire Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government.

        SYSCO, giving concerns to the public security, donated on 2005/12/29 a "Rescue Command Car" which is the most urgently needed by The Fire Bureau in anticipation that the best effect be brought to the disaster rescue.The car has been immdiately appropriated by The Fire Bureau to the Southern District Emergency & Disaster Rescue Corps for service.



      Since 1998, SYSCO adopts and beautifies Chung Shan Road.

        Along Chung Shan Road from Kaohsiung International Airport to downtown' there are flowers in blossom and trees neatly cut. The road has been adopted by SYSCO since 1998' including regularly flowers/grasses changes' plants watering, fertilizers applying' etc. All the people visiting Kaohsiung Airport may appreciate the beautiful face of the international garden city. We are looking forward to more enterprises joining the public affairs to build up our beautiful city.

      1997, SYSCO donates the player room of the softball court at Kaohsiung Labor Park.
        To respond to Government's calling of all-people sports, SYSCO donated the player room of the softball court at Kaohsiung Labor Park in 1997 to supply the citizens with great sports facilities. Its roof and sidings were all made by SYSCO's best product –Pre-painted 55% Al-Zinc Alloy-coated Steel Coil -- "COLORSTRONG" which has the characters of corrosion, heat, and humidity resistance and is the most suitable for the weather in Taiwan. The design and forming of the player room were constructed by Yodoko Int'l Ltd., one of SYSCO's subsidiaries. Its special Tee-Panel forming usually attracts the passers' eyes.
