Sheng Yu Steel Co., Ltd. and its parent company in Japan, Yodogawa Steel Works jointly invested to establish Yodogawa Shenyu (Hefei) High-tech Steel Co., Ltd. (YSS) in Hefei. YSS, the new company, is located at Hefei Economic & Technological Development Area (HETDA) and specializes in the production of high grade PCM prepainted steel sheet for the use of various electrical appliances. The ground-breaking ceremony was held on the double 11th 2011 and was hosted by YSS chairman Takaaki Kawamoto and president Shigeru Sawada. Sheng Yu's chairman Makoto Omori and president TY Cheng also attended the ceremony.

　　Sheng Yu Steel has been well-known for its quality superiority in coated steel. In the early stage, Sheng Yu was assisted by its parent company in the production technology. Throughout many years' accumulated experience, Sheng Yu has augmented its own technical skill and made it possible to produce high-grade prepainted steel sheet for electrical appliances such as front door of refrigerator, printed color steel sheet and shell of LCD TV set, etc. Sheng Yu has been proud of these technical results. Due to several factors, e.g., same language, close culture origin and eminent improvement of strait two-side relationships, Sheng Yu will doubtlessly play a main role in the plant construction, pilot run and business management of this collaborative project in Hefei, and also expand its overall business territory.
